Four Tier Wedding Cake: Cascadiing Roses
This wedding cake was made for a couple from Gaborone whose wedding theme was shade of yellow with an off white background. An interesting challenge to place roses on the fruitcakes with fragile petals snugged and tucked between themselves. Every cake that I make teaches me so much more that in fact, each cake is always different from the earlier one

Four Tier Wedding Cake: Arum Lilies
This four tier cake has an interesting story. The bride and groom from Gaborone wanted two wedding cakes of the same design and content - fruit cake with two chocolate cakes and one caramel cake. The first wedding cake was for Gaborone and the other one for Serowe. During the initial celebration, the top three layers were served and then i worked again on the base fruit cake to add new chocolate and caramel cakes. You can see the difference in the ferns that i decorated on the side of the cakes and made fresh bunch of arum lilies for the next cake. Interesting learnings.

Four Tier Wedding Cake: Bows and Roses
This four tier cake has interesting elements that were requested by the bride and groom from Gaborone - all fruit cakes that are square and round, large bows that make a statement and couple of roses with initials! I accepted to fulfill the promise and wow! the cake required two persons to carry it. The wedding theme was white.

Marriage Anniversary Cake:Eternal Vows and Remembrance
This wedding anniversary cake was made for a couple in Gaborone who wanted to celebrate their parent's marriage anniversary. We discussed everything online of the idea of how the cake should look like - the cherished photograph of their parents when they were young and had taken the eternal vow and how to create that moment ! The theme crystallised as a suitcase with the book on top with their photograph and the verse and roses. I loved making the cake and the delicate heart shaped wine glasses with nestled up roses and feel so honoured to have added to the joy.

Sugarcraft:Celebrating Five Years of Journey on Blogspot
14 August 2012: Today i celebrate my five years on blogspehere, the space i created in 2007. When i look back, i see my passion have grown, yearning to learn more and more...made more than 100 wedding cakes, made more than 100 other special occassion cakes and yet, everytime i am asked to make a cake, there are still newer ways of doing things, in search of perfection and be humbled by experience. Making different hues, playing with texture, maturing cake mix, the aroma that fills the house when baking the cake...to see smile on face when cake is delivered .....joie de vivre !
This set of cakes was made for a beautiful couple whose wedding theme was yellow and blue.
