As I get more involved in sugarcraft, a transformation has occurred. I have become closer to Nature and its perfect sytem. I had waited patiently for this African creeper above, to bloom despite skeptism, but I knew that one day it will ! It did, and my faith and trust in Nature's system is re-inforced. Currently, its raining heavily in Francistown and I can see a dramatic change in climate of Botswana. And I wonder, if to change, like other things, is inevitable. Here are some flowers that are dancing in the rain in my garden.
The pictures are of high resolution & can become screen savers
I am working on a cake and will soon post the pics.....
This post is a classic demonstration that nothing can compare to natural beauty. It gives hopes. Thanks for bringing some sunshine into my day.
ReplyDeleteThese flowers are so beautiful... Been so busy that almost forgotten what beauty nature brings. Thanks for sharing these pix.
ReplyDeleteHi cynthia
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, a big thank you for your post on choka..it reminds one of the aroma of the homeland.
Yes, i agree that nothing can compare to Nature. We fill colours in cakes and try to imitate but Nature reveals the plain truth - the perfect beauty. The beauty that improves our inner beauty and gives hope, as you say. As is said, 'to improve is to change, to be perfect is to change often.'

ReplyDeleteNature is the perfect system, on which you can always rely on for anything ! It never betrays you..it always lifts your moods, enlightens your spirits and encourages you in life.
Hi Margaret
ReplyDeleteI remember the school poem by William Wordsworth,way back during my ICSE years.
"Daffodils"
I WANDER'D lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.
.........
For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.
I am happy that the flowers lifted your spirits. As they also say' if winter comes, can spring be far behind'
Cheers !

How beautiful Soni!
ReplyDeletePoetry, the natural beauty of a garden, and sugar art! The three marry so well. I am very appreciative of the glimpse into life on your side of the world and it is so wonderful to see that your life of sugar artist holds many of the same wonders as mine over here in the States.
Sweet Regards,
Dina
